On March 12 and 13, 2020, SpaceLab met with members of the Federal University of Maranhão (UFMA), of the State Secretariat of Science, Technology and Innovation of Maranhão (SECTI / MA), of the National Institute of Special Research ( INPE) and the Brazilian Space Agency (AEB) in the Critical Design Review (CDR) of the next mission coordinated by the laboratory: FloripaSat-2.
The project is based on FloripaSat-1, CubeSat 1U launched in December 2019, thus the name “FloripaSat-2” was still unofficially designated. The satellite will be a CubeSat 2U in which it is being planned to support a new Payload EDC (Environmental Data Collector) developed by INPE, and with improvements in the main modules of the first FloripaSat mission (EPS, OBDH and TT&C).
